As I woke up this morning my thoughts turned toward “strengths”. I went and put a pot of coffee on. [I have discovered that a percolator makes the best coffee and well worth the wait, in my opinion]. After it was brew, I fix me a nice steaming cup and went out onto the back porch and begin to meditate on “strength”.
Each new day brings its challenges, whether it is with our health, relationships or finances. There is so much chaos in the world today that only by the mercy and strength of God are we able to walk in faith and not fear. The Lord reminded me of several scriptures to mediate on and claim as I go through my day.
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee; be not dismayed; for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Isaiah 41:10
“He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength; but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40: 29 & 31
Lord Jesus, I thank you that in your Word you gave us promises to give us strength. I ask you Lord to give us your strength today, in our bodies, minds and spirit as we follow you. Thank you Lord, I am strong. Amen
