"Wherefore, glorify ye the Lord in the fires, even the name of the Lord God of Israel..." Isaiah 24:15
Have you ever been going along in your life and everything is just going your way? You are praying, reading the word and praising the Lord when suddenly you find yourself in the "fire"; tribulation seems to be all around you. The attack comes at you so fast that you simply break down and start crying; "Lord, why is this happening to me, what did I do wrong? Lord, I was trying to walk in the Spirit and follow your direction. Where did I go wrong?"
I have felt this way so many time. I felt such great pain; I felt everyone had forsaken me and lost faith in me. Yet I knew in my heart that the Lord was leading me in a different direction than where I was.
Then I saw a title of a movie that came out, "Things We Lost in the Fire". Wow! The Lord spoke to my spirit and began to minister to me.
He tells us in His Word that there would be times of tribulation, but that He would be with us when we passed through the trials in our lives.
"When thou passes through the waters, I will be with thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shall not be burned; neither shall the fire kindle upon thee." Isaiah 43:2
"Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me:. Psalm 23:4 (NKJV)
Fear is a terrible thing. It can grab a hold on you so quickly. Fear is the opposite of faith, and without faith it is impossible to please God. Remember, even though we are going through the pressure of our circumstances and misfortunes, we must not forget that God cares for us and knows what we are facing . As we reach out to Him we can take confort knowing that He is taking control and watching over us.
