A good report:
Twelve spies were sent out to spy on the land that God had promised. The land was flowing with milk and honey. Filled with wonderful fruits, all that God had promised; yet only two believed that with God they were able to possess the land of promise. The other ten saw the good life, the promised life but wait, there were giants in the land. “We are so small in stature and they are so big and strong. There is no way we can over take the land (even though God Himself gave us a promise that it is ours).”
Ahhh, even so today we also face similar battles, decisions to believe Gods promises or the “test results”. The promises that we have believe and stood on and proclaimed; the Word that we have confessed with our mouths and believed in our hearts or the reports that there is nothing that can be done; no bypass, no stints, no balloons, nothing can make it better. Just try NOT to make it worse and you may have 10 to 20 years. A picture truly shows a thousand words. But, we (I) must not look through the eyes of the flesh but with the eyes of faith. The eyes of the flesh see large free flowing arteries that quickly turn into tiny veins trying to flow life to the heart. The eyes of faith, on the other hand, see the promises of God: I shall live and not die; with long life I will satisfy thee; by whose stripes I was healed.
On the way home from the hospital I cried ever so softly. The “Giants” were so big and I felt so defeated. But the Lord so gently comforted me and encouraged me of His great Love, power and purpose. So, I choose to stretch my faith, to look where my help cometh from, my help cometh from the Lord, to be a “Caleb” who reported to the people before Moses and said, “Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it”. This is my report. This is my testimony. Luke 18:27 – “And he said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”
