"A positive attitude gives you power over your circumstances instead of your circumstances having power over you." Well, I don't remember very many sermons that my dad gave during his life here on earth, but there is a story that has stuck with me. "There was this pastor who was greeting his parishioners as they came into the church one Sunday morning. When a certain fellow came in, looking like he had a rough week, the pastor asks him how he was doing. The tired weary old soul said, "Ok, under the circumstances". Now the pastor, was very compassionate to him, then the Lord gave him a message for the tired and weary old man. The pastor said, "What are you doing under there?" So, the lesson I learned what and why are we "under the circumstances"? Let’s rise up; praise the Lord; give thanks for the "circumstances", because Jesus has given us power over all the "bad stuff" that comes into our lives. It is written: "The righteous cry and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the aflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.” Psalm 34:17-19
We are "Dunamis" servants of our Lord Jesus Christ. He has giving us power to GO and obey the "Great Commission"
As we support, encourage, pray for one another and study God's Word together, we will be equipped to reach others for Christ.
Pour yourself a steaming cup of coffee...have a seat in a confortable chair...open your Bible and lets study God's Word together.
Let's see what He has for us today.
