We are "Dunamis" servants of our Lord Jesus Christ. He has giving us power to GO and obey the "Great Commission"

As we support, encourage, pray for one another and study God's Word together, we will be equipped to reach others for Christ.

Pour yourself a steaming cup of coffee...have a seat in a confortable chair...open your Bible and lets study God's Word together.

Let's see what He has for us today.

Prayer

Prayer works. Prayer is powerful. Prayer is one of our most deadly and effective weapons for destroying the works of the enemy. Prayer is God’s lifeline to the hurting, the wounded, the weak, and the dying. God expect us to throw out “the life line” in the name of His Son, Jesus. This calling is for every blood washed child of God. It is not just for those who are called to be intercessors. All through the Bible there were intercessors for the children of Israel. Esther, Deborah, Moses and Abraham were a few. Esther: Like many other young virgins, the beautiful Esther was placed in the king’s harem. To refuse the privilege may well have meant her death. After the queen Vashti was banished forever from the king’s royal presence. Esther found favor with the king and soon became his queen. During this time Mordecia, a Jew, refuse to kneel to the most powerful man, Haman. This made him so angry that he asked the king to kill all the Jews in the kingdom. Prior to risking her life for her people and go before the king to stand in the gap for her people, she humbled herself by fasting and then put her considerable beauty, social grace, and wisdom in the service of God’s plan, thereby saving her people from sure destruction. Deborah: (Judges 4-5) There are only 2 verses that tell us about Deborah and she is one of my favorites. Deborah was a prophetess who heard God and believed Him. Her vision of the world was shaped not only by the political situation but by her relationship with God. In ancient times, women did not usually become political leaders. The children of Israel had been sold into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan for about 2,00 years because of their idolatry. At the time of Deborah serving as a judge they were under the mighty oppression of Sisera, the captain. The children of Israel cried unto the Lord and He anointed Deborah to be their Judge. She not only stood in the gap for Israel but road with them in battle to victory. Her courage aroused the people, enabling them to defeat foreign oppression. Moses: Exodus 32:19-33 We all know the story of how Moses stood in the gap when God wanted to destroy all of the Hebrew children when Moses came down with the tablets of the law and found them worshiping idols. Abraham: (Genesis 18-19) Then there was Abraham pleading to God not destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, even though their sin was so great, but was only able to save his nephew, Lot, and his children. Here are four biblical steps for us to follow as prayer warriors. 1) Remind the Lord of His promises and appointments not yet met or fulfilled. (Isaiah 62:6-7 2) Take up the case of justice before God on behalf of another (Isaiah 59:15-16b) 3) Create together a hedge and build up a wall of protection in time of battle. (Ezekiel 13:4-5) 4) Stand in the gap between God’s righteous judgment, which is due, and the need for mercy on the people’s behalf.( Ezekiel 22:30-31) In Isaiah 43:26 we read that God said “Put me in remembrance, let us plead together.” In Isaiah 1:18a – “Come now, and let us reason together.” God also told us in Jeremiah 1:12, that He watches over His word to perform it. That means that the most valid and effective way to present our case before God is to respectfully remind Him of His unchanging Word. We must do this with the purest motivates and a clean heart. Remember, “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” (James 5:16) Jesus is the corner stone of our church. We must build the foundation and that foundation is prayer.
